TOUR START: Innsbruck, Austria

TOUR FINISH: Venice, Italy

The Dolomites are synonymous with the Giro d’Italia it’s the famous battle ground for the traditional final week where the fight for the Maglia Rosa is run and won. ‘Traversing the Dolomites’ is a mystical cycling journey from the serene splendour of the Sella Ronda passes all the way to east where the formidable test of Monte Zoncolan awaits (if you so choose, of course). We provide a truly boutique experience, limited to 8 riders, with a VIP wrap to ensure your every need is catered for. We always aim to stay in 4-star accommodation and immerse ourselves in the cultural, gastronomic and aesthetic delights of these magnificent Italian regions.

We will gather in Innsbruck, Austria the host city for the 2018 UCI road world championships, it’s a great chance to relax and unwind while experiencing Austrian history and culture; enriching and enhancing your European experience.

It’s then down to the awesome Dolomites and our base in Corvara, from here we will ride a spectacular loop around the Sella Massif, our Sella Ronda circuit includes the Sella, Pordoi, Campolongo and Gardena Passes, it really is cycling heaven with breathtaking views at every turn.

The Passo Valparola takes us on to our next destination the chic ski town of Cortina d’Ampezzo. It’s part of the Dolomiti Superski area and hosted the 1956 Winter Olympic Games. A ride to see the Tre Cime di Lavaredo is a stern test but the view from the top is simply stunning. Before leaving Cortina the mighty Passa Giau awaits, it’s been the amazing backdrop for so many recent Giro battles and its now your turn to see why. We ride on the route of stage 15 of the 2018 Giro d’Italia which takes us up and over the Passo Tri Croci and Passo DI Sant’Antonio to experience a more traditional Dolomiti town, Padola.

One of the biggest highlights of our tour is saved for the grand finale, a loop around the infamous Monte Zoncolan; and for those brave souls - an ascent like no other. Monte Zoncalon is now one of the most revered climbs in Giro d’Italia history.

Every day we can tailor the distance and amount of climbing to ensure each person truly enjoys the experience of the Italy Dolomites tour.
