Our tour starts with a bang on Mont Ventoux, as we enjoy riding and acclimatising Tour de France | velobiketours.comright in the heart of Provence including an ascent of the legendary mountain! Then it’s off to see the tour as it arrives in Nîmes for the start of the final week. Our hotel is situated right in the middle of the action as we ride the route and see Stages 16 & 17 live. The Alps then beckon! So it’s on to Serre Chevalier, an ideal position from which to watch the action on Stages 18 & 19 as the peloton, and you, will climb the mythical Col d'Izoard, the Col du Galibier and Col du Télégraphe.

You will witness the final day in the mountains as its kicks off from Albertville, a town synonymous with bike racing in the Alps, it was also the host city of the 16th Winter Olympic Games. The day’s race and final competitive stage will then finish way up in the clouds in the ski town of Val Thorens. You will see the race on the course as we visit Beaufort, a town very famous for its eponymous cheese, and climb the Col du Pré and Cormet de Roselend.

Our ‘pièce de résistance’ is saved for the last day as we climb and finish the tour on top of the mighty Alpe d’Huez!

For those wishing to experience the finale of the Tour de France in Paris we can assist by arranging accommodation and train transfers and for the ultimate viewing experience why not indulge yourself with catered grandstand seating on the Champs-Élysées – talk to us about pricing and availability.
